Motivation

File archives are bursting at the seams, the amount of paper documents requiring storage grows with the years, in short: archiving costs for institutions, companies, the public administration, the health service, social insurance funds and much more explode. In practice, paper documents are digitized using high-performance scanners and made available for further electronic processing.

But: In order to be able to present legally secure documents for possible later cases of evidence, the paper documents are kept parallel to the e-archive.

High evidential value due to e-signature and e-seal

The use of e-signature or e-seal directly in the scan process can avoid paper archiving. At the end of the process chain, for example, the scan operator confirms with his personal qualified electronic signature that the paper document matches the electronic image or that a file has been properly and completely digitized.

Visual inspection, sample inspection and batch signature

The digiSeal^® signature solutions comply with legal requirements and industry recommendations. They are integrated directly into common scan clients and enable visual inspection including sample inspection and batch processing.

Central e-seal on the server

The server solution digiSeal^®server processes very large quantities of documents using a central e-seal (instead of many decentralized signature cards). The e-seal server can be accessed from decentralised scanning stations. By means of an optional rights management it can be specified that only employees entitled to (or carrying) the seal may activate the e-seal.
