- Securely saves large data volumes on paper
- Cutting edge generation and recognition methods
- Unrivalled feature: High data density even with
basic printers and scanners
Application areas:

- Efficient capturing of form data within paper-based business processes without having to rely on error-prone OCR (Optical Character Recognition), e.g. insurance applications
- Saving machine-readable (biometric) information as additional security feature on identification documents, e.g. personal ID card, company ID, driving licence, medical insurance card, patient card, student ID, etc.
- Replacing magnetic strips, which are prone to security problems, with cheap 2D barcodes, e.g. on credit cards
Summary:
The digiSeal 2d barcode, which has been developed by secrypt, is a graphic data storage medium for use in, for example, ID documents. It is offered as a SDK (Software Development Kit) for Windows and Linux. The individual parameters (surface area, data density and data redundancy) can be flexibly configured as required for different printer and scanner qualities.
Example configuration:
- Surface area: 20 x 80 mm
- Inkjet printer: 300 dpi
- Data redundancy: 25%
- Useful data volume: approx. 4400 bytes
- Useful data density: approx. 275 bytes / cm2
Depending on the printer and scanner resolution, the useful data density can be increased to more than 1000 bytes / cm2.
